THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEED.

The dynamic City of Orlando department operates five distinct venues including Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field, Mennello Museum of American Art and Harry P. Leu Gardens. Between hosting high-profile sporting events like Wrestlemania, NFL Pro Bowl and NBA All-Star Weekend to big-name concerts and music festivals like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Harry Styles, Beyoncé and EDC Orlando to family shows, art exhibitions and countless other diverse offerings, our venues cater to residents and tourists alike year-round while enhancing the quality of life throughout our community.

NATURE OF WORK:

Performs work involving event preparation and breakdown of wedding rehearsals, weddings, receptions, business meetings and banquets. Tasks include changeovers (i.e., setup/breakdown of chairs, tables and audio/visual equipment), general maintenance at Leu Gardens and other duties as assigned. Employees assigned to this classification perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of the Gardens and City policies, and involves the use of independent judgment and initiative. Knowledge and operation of media/computer equipment is required. The ability to communicate verbally and to work without constant supervision once duties are assigned is necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Regular hours are 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. although weekend, evening, and holiday hours are often required based on event schedules.
Minimum Requirements
Ab Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Two (2) years general maintenance experience required, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. A valid Florida Driver's License is required.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
