Nature of Work
Performs responsible administrative work related to the Extra Duty/Special Events program. This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring extra duty and special events assignments, including communication with internal and external customers and providing program information to staff for events needing public safety personnel. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established procedures and reviewed while in process and results obtained.

Minimum Requirements
High school and three (3) years of experience performing progressively more responsible administrative work in the assigned area. A valid Florida driver's license is required. Must pass police background investigation which includes a polygraph examination. May be required to become a Public Notary. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
