NATURE OF WORK:

Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving the cleaning and maintenance of City parking facilities including cleaning windows, bathrooms, walls, offices, elevators, etc. Empties trash containers and replaces plastic liners. Performs a variety of tasks involving significant physical effort. Operates power tools and mechanical cleaning equipment. Performs maintenance tasks utilizing equipment requiring some manipulative skills. Loads and unloads trucks with tools and materials for transport to and from work sites.

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION:

Regular hours are 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., weekends and some holiday work required. Schedule subject to change based on Division needs. Work locations include various parking garages in and around Downtown Orlando.

Minimum Requirements
Ability to read, write and follow instructions. Ability to work without close supervision once tasks are learned. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, often under hot and humid environmental conditions. Ability to climb stairs and use ladders. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Some experience in building/industrial cleaning required. Ability to operate pressure washer, EZ-GO, and lawnmower. Florida driver license required.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
