THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEED.

NATURE OF WORK:

Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work at Lake Eola Park. Maintains and repairs buildings, facilities, and equipment. Expected to utilize knowledge of landscaping and maintenance tasks and possess skill with hand and power tools. Provides information and assistance to Park visitors. Work is physically demanding and much of it is performed outdoors and involves exposure to weather conditions, insects, wildlife and various chemicals. Work is performed with limited supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion.

WORK SCHEDULE: Includes weekends, up to 25 hours per week but will vary based on facility needs and events.

WORK LOCATION: Lake Eola Park, 512 E. Washington St., Orlando 32801.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years experience in grounds or general building maintenance required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to lift 50 pounds; walk for long periods; bend, climb, and stoop; and tolerate working outdoors. A valid Florida Driver's License required.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
