NATURE OF WORK:

Performs responsible specialized work enforcing City ordinances governing vehicle parking; issues parking tickets and places thirty-five pound immobilization devices onto vehicles having excessive unpaid violations. Upon completion of training, work is performed with limited supervision, requiring the use of independent judgement, and the ability to communicate effectively with potentially irate citizens. This position requires the ability to stand/walk/ride a bicycle for extended periods, ride a bicycle throughout most shifts, work in inclement weather and lift up to 35 pounds.

WORK SCHEDULE: The position requires you to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Minimum Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent is required. Ability to deal with the public required. Extensive public contact handling complaints desired. Must successfully complete a sixteen (16) hour training program within time limit set by the department. A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Polygraph examination required prior to employment.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
