NATURE OF WORK:
Performs administrative and supervisory work involving the daily operation of the City's parking facilities, surface lots, access roads, and event parking. Employees in this class are responsible for supervising activities pertaining to coordination of all shifts/employees involved in operation of municipal off-street parking facilities. Responsibilities include oversight of contractors, revenue control equipment, training programs, and auditing of current parking systems. Strong professional skills are important for this role including a high degree of organizational, communication, problem solving, leadership, and detail orientated skills. Will work closely with internal and external partners to coordinate major events in the city. Work is performed under the supervision of the Parking Operations Manager and is reviewed through reports submitted, meetings, and results obtained.
Involves performing duties under adverse conditions such as exposure to exhaust fumes , working in confined area, exposure to outdoor conditions including inclement weather, and standing/walking for extended periods of time. This position is responsible for working varied shifts depending on event schedules and Division needs.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree in Business Administration with major course work in management or accounting and/or related field plus three (3) years experience in parking facilities operations, two (2) years must have been in a supervisory capacity required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of traffic flow and related signage, and parking revenue control equipment desired. A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Must pass criminal background check and polygraph
