NATURE OF WORK:
Performs specialized recreation work in the provision of leisure programs, sports and other recreational actives for various age and ability individuals and groups. Assisting a Recreation Supervisor in the operation of a community center in the overall organization and delivery of general recreational activities, leagues, special events, clinics and seasonal programs. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Recreation supervisor and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion by observation and through reports submitted. Some positions may require working outdoors and the employee may be occasionally exposed to extreme heat and insects. Employee must work evenings and weekends. Includes maintaining log/records collection of membership and/or rental fees, preparing financial reports, attendance reports, open/close facility.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 11:00 AM-8:00 PM
Minimum Requirements
High school student or equivalent with one (1) year of experience in recreation fields required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Required to pass background investigation, which includes a polygraph. Required to work evenings and weekends when needed. Florida driver's license required.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
