NATURE OF WORK:
The Technical Director serves as the production and technical contact for all events held in the Amphitheater. Operates, maintains and safeguards the technical assets of the Amphitheater, including supervising the use of lighting, sound, communications equipment, and the use and maintenance of stage facilities. Responsible for the execution of all events held in the Amphitheater, working directly with clients to ensure that all events are properly planned and executed from a production stand point. Responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of technical staff. Represents the park's interest at all times during events - from load-in to load-out and ensure that facility policies are being followed. Sets policies and procedures for events at the Amphitheater. Coordinates the load-in, run of show and load-out of all events in the Amphitheater. Prepares Amphitheater maintenance and improvement plans. Responsible for the inventory and maintenance of all equipment including lights, sound, etc., and identifying equipment to be replaced and/or repaired as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Theater or a related field, plus ten (10) years of experience in technical theater required; or an equivalent of education, training, or experience.
