THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEED.

The dynamic City of Orlando department operates five distinct venues including Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field, Mennello Museum of American Art and Harry P. Leu Gardens. NATURE OF WORK:

The Historic Leu House Museum was originally built in 1888 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property was included in the Harry P. and Mary Jane Leu gift to the City of Orlando in 1961, however; over its lifetime four different families have lived and added on to the property. Today, it is a showcase of 19th and 20th century architectural styles and tells the story of the gardens origins.

This position would be responsible for opening and closing the house and conducting tours for visitors at the Historic Leu House Museum

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Have one (1) to two (2) years of Customer Service experience, tour guide or working with the public or equivlane combonation of related education, training required. Florida driver's license is required. Must pass comprehensive background check ,
The following are required:

  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods,
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends.
  • Must be able to follow through with assignments and accomplish tasks with little or no direct supervision.
  • Must have the ability to make responsible decisions and adapt easily and quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Valid Florida driver license required.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
