The Transplantation Center at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida has a faculty position opening for a Transplant Nephrologist. The ideal candidate should be fellowship-trained, board-certified and meet UNOS certification.
The holder of this position will be responsible for the evaluation of end-stage renal disease patients to gauge their suitability for renal transplantation, in-hospital care of renal transplant patients in the peri-transplant period, consultation on inpatients with functioning kidney transplants; and short- and long-term follow-up. This individual will also serve as a liaison between this program and referring institutions.
The successful candidate will have experience with program building and working in a multidisciplinary approach with colleagues in numerous specialties. A focus on teaching and an interest in participating in developing a research program are also desired. The Transplant Center in Florida is closely aligned with the Transplant Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Applicants should also have an interest in teaching as we sponsor an ACGME accredited independent nephrology fellowship training program.
